After starting as an operations manager at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Sue went on to become the general manager of Bath Priory, Sydney House, and Gidleigh Park, where she oversaw a complete refurbishment of the property that contributed to the hotel’s win of Hotel of the Year at the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence in 2009.

Since joining Whatley Manor from Cliveden House in 2016, Sue has been driving the business to deliver luxury hospitality while focusing on a green agenda to achieve net-zero emissions before the end of the decade.

Williams’ enrolment in the inaugural Business and Climate Change: Towards Net Zero Emissions course at the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainable Leadership is a testament to her commitment to sustainability, where she was one of only 30 students to be awarded a scholarship out of 290 students from around the world.
